One of the highlights of The Quest Weekend was the enlightening talk by our esteemed experts – Alan, Roland, and Steve. On Saturday night, they shared their extensive knowledge about the history and mysteries surrounding Loch Ness and its elusive resident. Their captivating presentations left us all in awe and eager to uncover the truth.
Armed with the latest technology, we set out on the waters of Loch Ness in search of the legendary creature. Our trusty companion, Deepscan, was equipped with a hydrophone to help us detect any unusual underwater sounds. It was an exhilarating experience, and though Nessie remained elusive, the thrill of the hunt was unforgettable.
Innovations from Alan at LNE:
Alan from Loch Ness Expeditions (LNE) introduced a groundbreaking addition to our quest – a thermal drone from Dragonfly Studios. This cutting-edge equipment had never been used in the search for Nessie before. It provided us with a new perspective, enabling us to scan the waters from above and detect any anomalies in temperature. The potential for groundbreaking discoveries with this technology is truly exciting.
Surprising Eel Sighting:
The mystery deepened when a young boy on board Deepscan made an unexpected discovery. While scanning the depths, he spotted an eel, adding an unexpected twist to our adventure. While not the Loch Ness Monster we were hoping for, this encounter reminded us of the diverse and fascinating life that thrives beneath the surface of Loch Ness.
