6-year-old becomes honorary ‘Watcher of the Monster’ ahead of huge search for Nessie
Meet the newest Watcher of the Monster
A new ‘Watcher of the Monster’ has been named in the lead up to the quest for Nessie. In ten days, we’re returning with an even bigger search of Loch Ness as we continue our goal of uncovering the loch’s mysteries. On Thursday 30th May to Sunday 2nd June, we’re looking for budding monster hunters to be involved in the search, both in person and online.
Ahead of the search, 6-year-old Nessie fan Robin Finlay has been named an honorary ‘Watcher of the Monster’ after sending a drawing to help identify what the loch’s most famous inhabitant may look like.
Virtual Nessie Hunters
The search isn’t limited to in-person volunteers. We welcome monster hunters unable to attend the surface watch to join online at Visit Inverness Loch Ness webcams. Several cameras are set up around the loch. People around all over the world can watch out for the famous monster. Make sure to look out for local wildlife too, on camera 365 days a year. When viewing the live cameras, watchers can capture a screenshot directly. You can even zoom in to get a better look. We encourage that you share any findings!
