When are you open?

The Loch Ness Centre is open daily (closed on Christmas Day).

We’ll open from 10.00 until 17.00 (last entry) from May until October. We’lll open from 10.00 until 15.00 (last entry) from November until April.

Where can I buy tickets?

We strongly recommend you pre-book your tickets online before your visit. When buying tickets in advance, you can save up to 10%.

Tickets will also be available at The Loch Ness Centre on the day of your visit. However, this will be subject to availability. Please note, The Loch Ness Centre will be fully cashless.

Who is the tour suitable for?

The Loch Ness Centre is an immersive entertainment experience that all visitors can learn from. While there is no age restriction, children older than 6 may get the most out of the experience. With our exciting new children’s activity pack, they can become a ‘Nessie Hunter’ themselves while exploring the centre.

Does Nessie exist?

This is a difficult question to answer and the perfect reason to visit The Loch Ness Centre! During the tour, you’ll explore all of the stories surrounding the legend of Nessie, delve through 500 million years of history and uncover fascinating scientific research. You may leave with many questions answered or more possibilities to explore. The stories should inspire you to journey onwards to keep looking out into the loch…

About the tour.

What will I see during the tour?

At The Loch Ness Centre, you’ll be invited to explore the origins of ancient local and Scottish myths, as well as the real stories and scientific research behind Scotland’s most famous legend of all, the Loch Ness Monster.

How long does the tour last?

The Loch Ness Centre experience lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour.

How often does the tour run?

The tour runs every 10 minutes – from the time of opening to the time of closing.

Can I change the date/time of my tickets?

With our Flexi Tickets, you can change the date and time of your booking up to 9am on the day of your visit for free. If you booked a standard ticket, there will be a £10 admin fee to change your booking. Contact us to change your booking.

Do you offer discounts for groups?

Yes, if your group is over 10 people, you can benefit from our group rates. Click here to find out more.

Do young children go for free on tour?

Yes, children under the age of 5 go for free on tour.

Are pictures allowed during the tour?

Yes, pictures are allowed during the tour; however, videos are not permitted.

Is the tour accessible for wheelchair users?

Our tour is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

I require a carer. How do I book?

There is free admission for carers when accompanying visitors with special assistance. You can book these tickets at the till or by contacting us at info@lochness.com.

Can I bring my dog on tour?

Only assistance dogs are allowed inside the premises. However, dogs are welcome outside the Loch Ness Centre with a responsible owner.

I don’t speak English, what facilities are there for foreign visitors?

Our tour is available in various languages with our free audio guides. The languages available are French, Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch, Portuguese, Mandarin, Norwegian and Japanese.

Can I pay with cash?

No, our site is fully cashless. We won’t accept any cash payments. Credit and Debit cards are accepted on-site (except American Express cards).

Do you have parking on-site?

Yes, we have an extensive car park to the side and the rear of the Loch Ness Centre and a small number of spaces for larger vehicles.

Our car park is free for 150 minutes for Loch Ness Centre’s ticket holders.

Can I pay with cash?

No, our site is fully cashless. We won’t accept any cash payments. Credit and Debit cards are accepted on-site (except American Express cards).

Do you have toilet facilities on-site?

Yes, accessible toilets and baby changing facilities are available on-site for guests.

Are the Deepscan Cruises available all year long?

The Deepscan Cruises are available from April until the end of October.

How often does the Deepscan Cruise run?

The Deepscan Cruise leaves hourly from 10.00 until 17.00 (last departure time). Please note, the cruise is weather dependent.

How long does the Deepscan Cruise last?

The Deepscan Cruise is a one-hour experience.

Where does the Deepscan Cruise depart from?

A bus will depart from The Loch Ness Centre and take you to the boat’s departure point.

How many people can go on the boat?

The Deepscan Cruise is limited to 12 guests per cruise.

Do young children go on the boat for free?

Yes, children under the age of 1 can go on the boat for free.

Can we hire the Deepscan Cruise for a private experience?

Yes, our cruise experience is available for private bookings. The private boat tour is limited to 12 people and priced at £216 per cruise.

Are dogs allowed on the boat?

Yes, well-behaved dogs are allowed on the boat.

At its deepest point the Loch measures around 230 meters (745 feet) roughly the same as One Canada Square in London’s Canary Wharf and roughly as deep as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco is tall.
